A beautiful start to the day and we discovered that right next to our camp site was a cable chair lift that took you up high to a spectacular view over Budapest.so up we went and it went up a long way and you could see for miles. Someone had mentioned that we were fairly near a bordering country so I'm looking out and spots in the distance a building that looks like a border control crossing but no it turns out to be a bloody
TESCO!!! I tell you every bloody road here leads to a tesco or a macdonalds.....put me in a right mood.
So the thermal baths.....off we went to the women only session at the famous Gellert FUrdo baths,an art nouveaue alace it was like- the main bath was under a huge dome which had stained glass skylights in it the bath was large you could swim in it and around the sides in alcoves were small dip
Baths from bloody hot to bloody freezing.there were steam rooms and dry rooms and all with lovely mosaic tiles it was fucking lovely. We both had massages ah ah
THen we left and within minutes it was lashing down and we were not only drenched we got lost and even my Pollyanna attitude couldn't put
A smile on sheilas face. We walked for ages in the torrential rain to the bus and by then it was a full scale storm thunder and lightening we didn't look a pretty site and nor was the camp site on our eventual return it was half under water.
We paddled to the van got dry drank 2 big bottles of beer each and fell asleep.
