Back again and at last got this iPod thing working.
After leaving ljubljana we drove to bled. Fucking hell it really is like a picture post card. A town around a lake with an old church ( everywhere you go there is a bloody church most of them beautiful tho) On a little island in the middle and a medieval castle perched on a rock above it.
We walked around the lake and then climbed up to the castle the view from the top made me swell up with tears, not sure if it was the relief of getting to the top without a heart attack or the overwhelming beauty of what met me up the top!looking down on the lake the water looked an emerald green and looking ahead the Julian mountains covered in trees went on and on and with the tops covered with
Snow.........
Thinking we were going into a little bar in the castle we found ourselves walking into a print museum. Where 2 men started to explain the history of tinting and said we could print our own diplomas Saying we had visited there for 7 Euros we couldn't top laughing exlaining we only came in for a beer.
Found a great place overlooking the lake had a shit in a bag and left early in the morning for Hungary.
Sheila navigated us to lake balaton a huge lake 77km long, needless to say we didn't walk around this one! It's a holiday place
With little and not so little houses scattered around it's shores, a peaceful night was had there after eating a fish pie and roast spuds with asparagus - you just can't beat home cooking!
And a handy hint for
The busy lesbian if you don't have an oven glove at hand a panty liner comes in real handy! Panty liners provided by sheila ( don't want to take all the credit)

So here we are 2nans in a van enjoying Budapest getting to know this cosmoplotin city with such diverse influences in it's culture it's architecture and it's people.
We are off to the thermal baths presently apparently they are outside as well, will full you in later
Love to you all x

  1. Hello, My mate Jackie Sue passed your details on to me. I have just bought a little camper and plan to travel round Europe later this August/September. I am thinking of driving down into Greece through Croatia etc and wondered how safe you reckon it is. I am alone.

I would appreciate any advice you could offer me. who knows maybe we could meet up!

Anyway, keep on enjoying your travels, Cheers Chris chrispreece1@hotmail.com
