Boredom and Borders

The pain in my guts from the duck during the night is my penance for eating it.

Sadly we left our new made friends with a promise from me to stay with them in Kiev in September and a maybe from Sheila
Navigating our way to the ROmanian border was difficult as all the writing on the signposts are written in the Cyrillic alphabet which has no resemblance of our own and because neither of us speak Ukranian and hardly anyone speaks English at times we felt bewildered but eventually we made our way there.
We arrived at the Ukraine side and that took a good 2hours to pass through even tho there were only 5 in front of us. We were right excited getting into Romania but that soon wore off as it took another 5 hours to get through their check-point fucking hell what a bore. I had 5pisses on the back of the van and through the bucket contents out (sheila only had 1 she must have a bladder the size of a cows udder!)

Everytime a car went up they had everything out went through it all looked under over and around the vehicle and only 2 guards doing all the work while at least 6 watching madness.
When it eventually came to us I had the usual stuff about the van not in my name but we were eventually passed to the search people which we were dreading cos of the amount we have in the van but when the guard cami in the van he laughed asked us me if I had any drugs (what me officer) or guns hidden(as if I'd tell him if I had) to which I said certainly not and let us through without a search.
Hahahaha little did he know we had contriband on board - 2 large pieces of Parmesan cheese from Italy - not allowed to bring in animal products
It was lashing with rain by then and we were shagged from boredom.
we drove about 3hours over the most appawling roads, pulled up in a town outside a cop shop went out for dinner and had a shit night as the rain was so heavy the noise was deafening.
Left at 6am to make our way to Transalvania
It took ages cos most of the roads are full of crators and they are deep you have to drive around them and lots of train lines to cross over that have no barriers or lights to warn you of oncoming trains CRAZY
On the whole quite a harrowing journey. Most of peoples homes are in bad condition and some falling down and still being lived in GREAT CHURCHES THO (no change there then ay?)
However we are here in Sighisoara the birthplace of Vlad Tepes (Dracula to you)
It's a medieval citadale town, the old bit is up hundreds or seems hundreds of steps with cobbled streets old houses lots of it falling apart and clanging clanging bells oh and its very beautiful and thank fuck its not the tourist season.

Having a bit of luxury after last night and hoteling it in the square up
Here and Sheilas is not feeling too good sore throat and a bit of a fever.

Sicko
